Vaisakhi

Vaisakhi is the most importan festival in the Punjab. The festival bears a great meaning for Sikhs because on the Vaisakhi day 29 March in the year 1699, the 10th Guru of the Sikhs Guru Gobind Singh ji.

Every April, communities across the worlds come together to celebrate Vaisakhi. This development culminated on Vaisakhi of 1699 when Guru Gonind Singh established a formal Sikhs the Kahlsa Panth.

First May

1st May is the day of workers in Italy and it is a holiday. This is the day of memory of the efforts the workers did for their rights. Offices, shops and schools are closed but public services work regularly.

25th December is Chrismas Day: the children wait for Santa Claus with presents. In this day all windows are decorated with some Christmas stars.

New Year's Eve

An important day in Italy is Capodanno which is celebrated on December, 31st. You are awake until midnight to wait for the next year. As soon as the clock strikes midnight, people drink champagne and eat lentils. There are also fireworks.

Freedom Day - Festa Della Liberazione



25th April is a National day in Italy: “Festa della liberazione”. There are parades in the big cities and there is a symbol of the day. It is the flag of Italy.
