Vaisakhi

Vaisakhi is the most importan festival in the Punjab. The festival bears a great meaning for Sikhs because on the Vaisakhi day 29 March in the year 1699, the 10th Guru of the Sikhs Guru Gobind Singh ji.

Every April, communities across the worlds come together to celebrate Vaisakhi. This development culminated on Vaisakhi of 1699 when Guru Gonind Singh established a formal Sikhs the Kahlsa Panth.

First May

1st May is the day of workers in Italy and it is a holiday. This is the day of memory of the efforts the workers did for their rights. Offices, shops and schools are closed but public services work regularly.

February is the month of Carnival in Italy. There are people with traditional costumes.
The traditional costumes are: Pantalone, Arlecchino, Balanzone, Pulcinella, Meneghino and Colombina.

Italian squares are decorated and the Italian flag is everywhere.

In Italy, we celebrate Easter (Pasqua). The symbol is the Christian egg.

Chocolate eggs are everywhere for Easter time. Their decorations are beautiful.

In Italy there is a special day for jokes: 1st april.  The symbol is a fish. The day is called the fish of April.

Christmas

25th December is Chrismas Day: the children wait for Santa Claus with presents. In this day all windows are decorated with some Christmas stars.

Jesus'birth, the Christmas tree, and the Italian people prepare a "PRESEPE",
